Below is our portfolio of food grade pumps most commonly used in hygienic industry duties. We supply hygienic pumps designed to cover a wide range of fluids from low viscosity easy-flowing transfer duties such as water and food oils all the way through to heavy duty non-flowing high viscosity duties like chilled butter and paste concentrates. Centrifugal Pumps 

Designed to transfer high volumes of low viscosity fluids, centrifugal pumps are the most common pump type in use around the world.

Centrifugal pumps transfer low viscosity fluids via high speed rotating impellers. Used in many industries, there are variations in design and materials of construction but for our hygienic stainless steel centrifugal pumps, typical transfer applications would include water, beer, spirits, oils and juices plus these pumps are also used in ‘Clean-in-Place’ (CIP) processes to clean pipework and other inline pumps and equipment by pumping high velocity cleaning fluids.

Circumferential Piston Pumps

Not to be confused with rotary lobe pumps, the circumferential piston (or rotary piston) pump uses special ‘sliding metal’ non-galling alloy rotors to offer strong self-priming capabilities and gentle handling of shear-sensitive fluids and slurries.

Circumferential piston pumps (or rotary piston pumps) are food grade industrial pumps and feature a stainless steel 316 body with rotors constructed from a non-galling “808” stainless alloy aka ‘the metal that slides’. The close-clearance operation of the rotors is critical to the performance of the pump and allows gentle handling of high viscosity, shear-sensitive fluids. We use these pumps for pumping butter & fats, fondants, icing, concentrated pastes, fruit concentrates, wholetail scampi and other fragile or high viscosity materials.


Diaphragm Pumps 

Relatively low cost when compared to rotary pumps, diaphragm pumps are simple to operate, simple to service and very versatile. This pump technology is used in many diverse applications and typically offers many different materials of construction and strong self-priming capabilities – even when dry.

Air operated double diaphragm pumps (or AODD pumps) are safe, simple & versatile. Used for many diverse industrial fluid transfer duties, these pumps offer strong suction-lift / self-priming capabilities and can run dry for limited periods of time. Diaphragm pumps can be easily stripped down for servicing and cleaning. Some hygienic models are self-draining and suitable for CIP (clean-in-place).

Drum, Barrel & IBC Pumps 

There is no better way to empty a drum than by using a drum pump! Typically supplied as a drum (or IBC) length tube powered by an electric or pneumatic motor but also available in increasingly sophisticated and robust systems to pump non-flowing products such as petroleum jelly or concentrated tomato paste.


Eccentric Disc Pumps 

Strong suction capabilities and ability to run dry make this pump type a very desirable choice for many hygienic manufacturers.


Flexible Impeller Pumps 

Dry self-priming pumps that use a flexible rubber impeller to make light transfer duties a breeze.


Gear Pumps

Gear Pumps are versatile positive displacement pumps that use the meshing of internal and/or external gears to pump fluid. With a wide viscosity and temperature range, Gear Pumps excel in high efficiency pumping of thick liquids. Typical applications include oil, syrup, resin, glycol, chocolate and similar.


Peristaltic Pumps

Sometimes referred to as ‘Hose Pumps’ these pumps offer strong suction capabilities and do not require seals.


Progressive Cavity Pumps 

Using a rubber stator and stainless steel rotor, these ‘screw’ pumps progress liquids and slurries along a typically long pump tube and offer strong suction and non-pulsing flow.


Rotary Lobe Pumps 

A very common pump in food, beverage and pharmaceutical factories. Offers gentle handling of viscous fluids and slurries.


Twin Screw Pumps

The benchmark in positive displacement pumping technology. Twin screw pumps offer gentle conveying of products – even with large soft solids – and can operate as both a process pump AND clean-in-place (CIP) pump.


Water Booster Pumps

When your mains water supply has inadequate pressure to service the demands of your building(s), installing a water booster set will give you the pressure and volume of water supply you need.

Some of the pump types on this page are commonly used in hygienic industry transfer duties. Some of these pump technologies are accepted as being ‘food grade’ pumps as they are constructed from food grade FDA compliant contact materials – typically 316 Stainless Steel with food grade O-rings / gaskets / elastomers. Other pump designs can be classed as being fully hygienic and are certified to industry standards for hygiene and cleanliness such as EHEDG, 3A and / or FDA.
