Someflu Pump
Corrosion resistant centrifugal pumps
BestPump is working in the UK with Someflu of France. Someflu specialise in the design and manufacture of horizontal and vertical anti-corrosive centrifugal pumps made of synthetic material or stainless steel.
The outputs range from 1 to 1.500 m³/h, with elevation heights from 5 to 130 metres, at speeds of 1450 to 2900 rpm.
These pumps are designed for pumping corrosive chemicals which may be clear, slightly loaded or very loaded. SOMEFLU are made ON DEMAND to suit the specific requirements of the pumped fluid (concentration, temperature or viscosity) and the characteristics of the installation.
Someflu's experience in the use of plastics gives users the guarantee that the solution will be the best one for their needs. The high-performance plastics are processed in a special molding unit in Savoie, France.
The production unit has numerically controlled (with 3, 4 and 5 axes) high-speed machining systems to meet the requirements in terms of quality and lead times.
We offer customers the most efficient and most cost-effective solutions. Our sales engineers work closely with customers and provide their experience for the designing and making of systems. This dynamic team is supported by a Research & Development department and a particularly well adapted information system.

Someflu Centrifugal pump advantages
- Full range of centrifugal pumps manufactured out of synthetic raw materials or
stainless steel for any kind of corrosive or abrasive fluids (from 1 to 1500 m3/h).
- The SOMEFLU plant APLAST which is specialised in compression moulding high
performance plastic raw materials used for the manufacturing of SOMEFLU
pumps.
- The ECO range offering the same hydraulic performance as the normalised
pump series NP but less expensive.
- The full product-range is Atex certified.
- Spare parts are less expensive than the one of our main competitors.
- Flexibility in the use of mechanical seal brand-name types.
Someflu Technical Advantages
- As a PE plastic against abrasion we systematically use the high density Cestidur
plastic (density of 9 Mio versus 4 Mio to the common PE “RCH 1000” from our
competitors).
- PP is preferred to PE because of its mechanical properties.
- NP pump series is systematically equipped with PVDF raw material impeller.
- The impeller inserts are very large to avoid any deformation risk due to
hydraulic pressure.
- Design of a special cartridge mechanical seal able to keep the same spring
compression whatever the distance impeller to casing.
- Magnetic driven pumps as an option on the full range (excep ECO pumps).
- The impeller is maintained by the pump rear to avoid any leakage risk
at the pump nose.
- Very good knowledge regarding design of priming tanks.
